Adoption

Well, we may be a bit biased in this department, but we feel that adopting your pets is the best option, and not simply because we have pets up for adoption! Below are some reasons that adoption is the best option:

1. The animal you're taking home is already spayed/neutered and vaccinated, saving you tons of cash that you would otherwise have to spend on top of the price of buying your pet from the newspaper, pet store or breeder.  Even if you get your animal for free, it will likely be more expensive to take this pet to the vet for routine medical care than it would be to pay the adoption fee of a shelter pet when these itmes are included for less. 
2. You're supporting your local economy.  Local shelters provide employment to folks in your neighborhood.  You're also supporting your local charity by providing needed funds by way of your adoption fee so they can continue their life-saving work. 
3. Contrary to popular belief, shelters know the personalities of most of their animals pretty well. Obviously we can't tell you how most will behave in a home setting and we haven't learned all their quirks (and yes, they all have them no matter where you get your pet from!) but we know much more about the animals than many folks think.
4. Adopting a homeless animals helps two animals! You are giving a home to the animal you bring home and you're also opening up space for those homeless animals that are in need of shelter care. 
5. Last but not least, it will bring you good karma.  Ok, we might not be able to prove this last item, but c'mon, it must, right?
