Adoption Fees
Comparing Apples to Apples
When considering the "price" of an adopted animal, it is
critical to compare apples to apples, or in other words, the
services the animal received prior to adoption. Some shelters
or even the "free to good home" ads have animals that may have a
seemingly cheaper price, but in reality, the fees may not
provide things such as a microchip, deworming, testing for
Leukemia/FIV, dental cleanings (when needed), or even
grooming. Also cosidering the services that the shelter
provides to the homeless animals in its community. The adoption fee
you pay helps support the agency's mission overall.
All of our animals have received the basics; spay or neuter
surgery, vaccinations and are microchipped. We also invests
thousands of dollars a year in to providing all the necessary vet
care the animals need before being put up for adoption. Our
"cost per animal" is much higher than our adoption fees. The
price you pay to take home an animal is a critical source of income
that helps provide the resources we need to give the homeless
animals in our care a second chance at life.
Dog Adoption Fees
Our dog adoption fees range from $50 to $300 for most
dogs. Fees are listed in the dog's information details on our
website. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, Distemper/Parvo
vaccination, Rabies vaccination (where age permits), deworming,
microchip with registration, collar, and ID tag. Many of
our dogs receive dental cleanings, fracture repair, kennel cough

will need before sending them off to a new family and have open
communication with our adopters about what care the dog may need in
the future.
