Uno por Uno-an Innovative Program

Uno por Uno helps pets, families and neighborhoods, one by one. Currently, euthanasia is the sad reality for many of the animals rescued in Maricopa County. As such, Maricopa County Animal Care & Control (MCACC) is taking a more proactive and creative approach to safeguard public health and safety and save the lives of many pets.

Uno por Uno is making a difference

This creative program focuses on "at risk" areas to increase licensing, reduce bites and increase spay/neuter.  MCACC's goal is to increase efforts to safeguard public health and safety and minimize the negative impact that irresponsible pet ownership has on a community.  In order to change the culture of pet ownership in Maricopa County, it has become critical to educate pet owners about responsible pet ownership, spaying and neutering, the leash law, the importance of pet vaccinations, and pet licensing. MCACC has endeavored to combine all aspects of need, desire, and mandate in the Uno por Uno program. This community service program will continue to have a positive impact on the communities served with your support.
