Volunteer Qualifications: Individuals must be reliable, have a basic understanding of HALO's mission and goals, be flexible and have a great love and compassion for our furry friends.

It is vitally important that each volunteer realize that his or her part is critical to the success of our rescue work. No matter how small or significant you feel your role might be, we would love to have you on board. We ask that once you have agreed to an assignment, that you fulfill your commitment to the best of your ability.

Each volunteer is asked to attend our Volunteer Orientation. We have one orientation scheduled every month, with individual appointments available during the week if you cannot make the scheduled orientation dates.   There is a $20 registration fee to attend an orientation, whether a group orientation or  individual, to offset the cost of the HALO volunteer t-shirt and supplies you'll be given.
