Thank you for your interest in adopting a HALO pet!

We welcome visitors to our shelter without an appointment to walk through our shelter to view our animals. We will accommodate as many walk-in visitors as we can.   

 

If the pet you are interested in is listed in foster care, we will have our foster department or the foster parent contact you.

If you are interested in a cat listed at a PetSmart or Petco store, please visit that store for an in-person adoption.

If you are interested in adopting a pet at our shelter please click on the adoptable cat or adoptable dog page and follow the instructions for submitting the questionnaire. Once you submit your questionnaire, you will have two options:

 

You have two options:
1. Adopt a pet "sight unseen", meaning, you will speak with an adoption counselor over the phone, and process adoption paperwork and payment over the phone, and set an appointment to pick up your new pet, all without meeting the pet in person first. Most of our pets are available for this type of adoption.

2. Come visit one of our adoption locations in person. Adoptable pets are available on a first come, first serve basis. If you want to ensure you are able to adopt a particular pet, see option 1.

All dogs are required to go home either on a leash & collar. HALO has them available for purchase if you do not have one available at the time of adoption.

All cats are required to go home in a carrier. HALO has cardboard carriers available for purchase if you do not have one available at the time of adoption.

If you are feeling ill or you have been in close contact with someone who has been ill recently please consider the sight unseen adoption option or come into the shelter at another time when you are well.
