HALO is grateful to have received the generous support of Maddie's Fund and to have been an integral part of the Maddie's Pet Rescue Project of Maricopa County. This was a 9 year project with the goal of ending the euthanasia of "healthy" and "treatable" animals in Maricopa County.
The project ended October 31, 2011 with the community coming very close to accomplishing the goals we set out to achieve. We are so very grateful to the Duffield family, the founders of the Maddie's Fund, for their dedication to homeless animals across the country and their willingness to help HALO Animal Rescue go from an all volunteer agency adopting out 450 animals a year to an agency that is saving over 4,500 animals a year in Phoenix!
