Fees

Comparing Apples to Apples

When considering the "price" of an adopted animal, it is critical to compare apples to apples, or in other words, the services the animal received prior to adoption.  Some shelters or even the "free to good home" ads have animals that may have a seemingly cheaper price, but in reality, the fees may not provide things such as a microchip, deworming, medical care, or even grooming.  Also considering the services that the shelter provides to the homeless animals in its community, the adoption fee you pay helps support the agency's mission overall.

All of our animals have received the basics; spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations and are microchipped.  We also invests many thousands of dollars a year in to providing all the necessary vet care the animals need before being put up for adoption.  Our average "cost per animal" is higher than our average adoption fee by many hundred dollars in most cases.  The fee you pay to adopt an animal is a critical source of income that helps provide the resources we need to give the homeless animals in our care a second chance at life.
