  1. Morning Cleaning and Animal Care
  2. Walking Dogs and Cleaning Kennels
  3. Cuddle Kitties: Assist at our Main location, Petco, and PetSmart locations with cat care and socialization. 
  4. Adoption Counseling: Help potential adopters find their perfect pet match. 
  5. Laundry and Dishes
  6. Pet Photography
  7. Fostering (see the Foster page!)
  8. Events: Assist at events to promote HALO and engage with the community.
  9. HALO Thrift Boutique: Support our thrift boutique through daily tasks that help fund our rescue efforts.

VOLUNTEER GUIDELINES

  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Complete the online volunteer orientation.
  • No minimum or maximum hour commitment.
  • Location options:
    – HALO Main Shelter
    – PetSmart and Petco Stores
    – HALO Thrift Boutique
    – Adoption Events across the Valley!

GROUP VOLUNTEER GUIDELINES

  • Maximum Group Size: Up to 10 volunteers at a time. If your team has more than 10 members, we’d be happy to arrange multiple shifts. These can be scheduled on the same day or spread across different days.

  • Location: Main Shelter (32nd St and Bell Rd)

  • Booking: To reserve your group volunteer day, please contact us at volunteer@halorescue.org.
